Dates, romance and loovvvee! All things every one needs in there life but unfortunately it don't come cheap. Personally, I am a split the bill kinda girl but even so dates do get expensive and, however much I love the typical movie and dinner kinda thing, my bank balance does not! Anyway, I thought I would share a few ideas that me and Reece love which don't come with a giant price tag.
1. Eat Out on a Budget
There are so many cheap deals out there for you to try! Trust me it feels great getting the same meal for half price. Some restaurants offer great lunch menus for even greater prices, so with just the small compromise of a lunch out instead of dinner could save you a fortune. Similarly, don't over look discount offers such as the NUS card, Bite cards and email based offers such as voucher codes.
2. Board Games
Do not overlook the power of the board game! It is a great way to kill time, have a laugh and not spend any money. Some of our personal favourites include battleships and monopoly though I am a firm believe that if your relationship can survive monopoly it can survive anything. If you fancy jazzing it up you could add some food, wine (depending on age of course) and music and just have a really chill night in.
3. Picnic
Perhaps a obvious one but it should definitely not be overlooked because of how versatile this idea can be. In summer, we enjoy taking a bike ride or going for a walk and ending it with a cheap picnic courtesy of various supermarkets meal deals. Most are around £3 or so.
Now, I can here what your thinking. That is great Meg but what about when it is summer? And, that is a very good question. When the clouds roll in and the sky changes from a blue to grey we whip out the picnic blankets still but, this time inside. Again, we still use cheap meal deals or whatever is lying around in the fridge but there is something so much nicer about having a 'picnic' on the floor then chilling around and eating on the sofa like normal.

4. Tags
You don't have to have a YouTube channel to do all the crazy tags that keep appearing. No need to upload them to Facebook unless you want to and with so many such as the boyfriend does my make up tag etc. there is bound to be something that suits everyone. They create a great excuse to have a laugh and do something a little embarrassing that you can bond over and again, they are free!
5. Car Boot Sales
Often an overlooked affair, car boot sales offer so much potential. Whether your a hoarder (like myself) and could do with a clear out or whether you simply what to go and look at other peoples wares it is a great way to get out and about without spending any money unless you want too. There are so many quirky treasures to be found that even if you don't buy anything there will always be something to talk about.
Good luck and enjoy the romance!
